Privacy policy

1 Introduction

SkyCore Host ("SkyCore Host," "we," "us," or "our") provides web hosting, domain name registration, cloud infrastructure, and related digital services. SkyCore Host seeks to ensure the highest level of data privacy when offering its variety of quality products and services to SkyCore Host customers and subscribers ("Subscribers") (collectively, "You," or "Users").

At SkyCore Host, the privacy and security of our Users is of paramount importance. We are committed to protecting the data you share with us. When this Policy mentions "SkyCore Host," it refers to the entity responsible for protection of your personal information in line with this Privacy Policy ("Data Controller").

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how SkyCore Host processes information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify an individual ("Personal Data") collected through our Site, Services, forums, and mobile applications ("Platform").

All personal data are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"), the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), and all other applicable privacy laws.

2 General Principles & Confidentiality

SkyCore Host processes all Personal Data in adherence to the following general principles:

• Lawfulness, fairness, and transparency: Processed lawfully, fairly, and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
• Purpose limitation: Collected for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner that is incompatible with those purposes.
• Data minimization: Adequate, relevant, and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed.
• Accuracy: Accurate and, where necessary, kept up to date.
• Storage limitation: Kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary.
• Integrity and confidentiality: Processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security using appropriate technical or organizational measures.

All information stored on SkyCore Host's Platform is treated as strictly confidential. All information is stored securely and is accessed by qualified and authorized personnel only.

3 Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

We ask for and collect the following personal information when you use the SkyCore Host Platform. This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contractual arrangement between you and us and to allow us to comply with our legal obligations.

Account Sign-up Information

When you sign up to SkyCore Host, we require minimum information — your email address and password. In certain cases we ask for additional information, such as your first and last name, identity verification, and contact details. Such information is required when applying for domain name registration and is indicated as WHOIS information.

Identity Verification

To comply with the rules set forth by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN") prior to the registration of a new domain name, SkyCore Host may collect identity verification information (such as images of your passport, national ID card, valid driving license, or other documents as required or permitted by applicable laws).

Payment Information

To order and use features of the SkyCore Host Platform (such as web hosting and domain name registration), we may require certain financial information to facilitate the processing of payments. We use third-party payment processors and do not store full credit card information — we receive payment status confirmation and store only the last 4 digits of your card.

Communications

When you communicate with SkyCore Host (including via inquiry windows, chat windows, or chatbots), we collect information about your communication and any information you choose to provide or disclose. In order to respond to your request, we may also access information provided in your SkyCore Host Account and your purchase history.

3.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the SkyCore Host Platform or contact us directly, we may automatically collect information, including personal information, about the services you use and how you use them.

Log Data and Device Information

We automatically collect log data and device information when you access and use the SkyCore Host Platform, even if you have not created an account or logged in. This information includes, among other things: Internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type and version, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, device properties (including operating system), date/time stamps, and clickstream data.

Usage Information

We use tools such as Google Analytics to collect information about your interactions with the SkyCore Host Platform — what pages you visit, your searches for listings, bookings made, and other actions on the Platform.

Geo-location Data

We collect information about your approximate location as determined by data such as your IP address to offer you an improved user experience and to comply with applicable legal requirements such as taxes and pricing.

3.3 Abuse Prevention Data

To help detect and prevent abuse and other use of services inconsistent with our Terms of Service, we process certain information to assess potential misuse. This assessment is based on data points related to payments and payment history, account activity, your use of services (including suspension-related information), device information, and your interactions with our Platform.

4 Legal Basis for Processing

Under GDPR, we are required to identify a legal basis for each processing activity. The table below summarizes the primary bases we rely on:

5 How We Use Your Data

We use, store, combine, and process information, including personal information, about you to provide, understand, improve, and develop the SkyCore Host Platform, create and maintain a trusted and safer environment, and comply with our legal obligations.

• To identify: Personal identification information is collected and processed for the purposes of User identification, use of services, and domain name registration.
• To create and maintain a trusted environment: We verify or authenticate information or identifications provided by you and use collected information to detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and other illegal and harmful activities.
• To register domains: In certain jurisdictions or pursuant to ICANN rules, domain name registration information must be made available and accessible to the public through a "WHOIS" search.
• To send service and billing messages: We may send you notices regarding our Services or your use thereof, including maintenance notices, support tickets, payment reminders, or abuse complaints.
• To customize marketing: To provide more customized offers, we may conduct data analysis based on information you provide to us.
• To enhance security: To enhance data security and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To comply with laws: To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including ICANN requirements and tax obligations.
• To improve our services: To analyze usage patterns, monitor performance, and enhance the functionality of our Platform.

6.2 Types of Cookies We Use

7 Job Applications

SkyCore Host welcomes all qualified Applicants to apply to any of the open positions published at our website, by sending us their contact details and CV ("Applicants Information") via the relevant Position Application Form.

We understand that privacy and discreteness are crucial to our Applicants and are committed to keep Applicants Information private and use it solely for SkyCore Host's internal and group companies' recruitment purposes (including identifying Applicants, evaluating their applications, making hiring and employment decisions, and contacting Applicants by phone or in writing).

SkyCore Host may retain Applicants Information submitted to it for no longer than one year after the applied position has been filled or closed. After that period, your data will be securely deleted unless you have given explicit consent for us to retain it for future opportunities.

8 Information Pertaining to Visitors of User Websites

We may collect, store, and process certain information pertaining to visitors and users of our Users' websites or services, solely on our Users' behalf and at their direction. Each of our Users is able to collect and manage information, including personal data, via their website. Such information and personal data are then stored with SkyCore Host.

For such purposes, within the meaning of the GDPR, SkyCore Host may in certain limited cases be considered as a "data processor" of such information. The Users controlling and operating such User websites shall be considered as the "data controllers" of such information.

9 Direct Marketing & Service Notices

When creating an Account on our Platform or thereafter, subject to available functionalities, you are free to manage your preferences regarding receipt of various communications, including marketing offers and other marketing information.

Marketing Communication via Email

We may send marketing communication (e.g., newsletters, special offers, and other information related to our Services) to your email address based on our legitimate interest, provided you have used or signed up for a Service from us. You are free to opt out of such communications at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email or contacting us at support@skycorehost.com.

Transactional Messages

Where allowed under applicable laws, we may send you important transactional messages which fall into one of the following categories: (i) subscriptions and payments; (ii) account and its security; or (iii) service status and changes. These messages are not considered direct marketing and cannot be opted out of while you hold an active account.

10 Data Retention & Deletion

We generally retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide our services and to comply with our legal obligations. Where your personal information is no longer required, we will ensure it is securely deleted or anonymized.

After de-activation of your Account, we will retain a de-personalized profile for compliance purposes (your email will be changed to user@deleted.com and your name and contact information will be erased), alongside the financial and legal records listed in the table above.

11 Data Transfers & Third-Party Services

We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns directly before you approach a supervisory authority. Please contact us first at dpo@skycorehost.com.
