Business email

Email at your own name, not somebody else's

A mailbox on your own domain, with webmail, calendars, contacts and virus filtering. It syncs to the phone and the mail app you already use, and we set the records up for you.

Your own domain Webmail included Mobile sync Calendar and contacts
What you get

A mailbox, and the things a mailbox needs

Every account carries the same set. There is no tier where the calendar is missing or the spam filter is extra.

01

Webmail that is not an afterthought

A full mail client in the browser.

Read, write and search from any browser
Works on a phone or tablet without an app
White-labelled at webmail.yourdomain.com
02

Virus and spam filtering

Filtered before it reaches you.

Attachments scanned for malware on arrival
Spam separated rather than dumped in the inbox
Nothing to install or configure
03

5 GB per mailbox, backed up

Storage that is actually protected.

5 GB dedicated to mail on every account
Backed up separately, so a deletion is not the end of it
Add storage in blocks whenever an account fills up
04

Calendars and contacts

The rest of what a mail account is for.

Shared calendars across the team
A contact book that syncs to the phone
Auto-responders for holidays and handovers
The technical bit

Everything you need to set it up

Published here so you can check it works with what you already run, before you talk to anybody.

Why it matters

Three reasons it is worth paying for

Email is the cheapest part of looking like an established business, and the easiest one to get wrong.

01

It is the first thing people judge

An enquiry from a free mail address and one from your own domain do not read the same way, and the difference costs more than the mailbox does.

02

The address belongs to you

Staff change and free accounts get lost with them. Mail on your own domain stays with the business - you create, move and close accounts yourself.

03

It grows with the team

Add a mailbox when somebody joins and remove it when they leave. No migration, no re-pointing records, no waiting on us.

Questions

About business email

Moving a team across from something else? Open a chat and we will plan the cutover so nobody loses mail on the day.

Why pay for email when free accounts exist?

Because the address is the point. Mail branded with your own domain reads as a business rather than a person with a spare account, and it stays with the company when people move on. You also get support from us when something stops arriving, which no free service offers.

Which mail apps and protocols work with it?

Anything that speaks IMAP, POP or SMTP - Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, Gmail and the standard mail apps on iOS and Android. We will send you the settings, and we will configure the first one with you if you would rather not.

How do I get to my webmail?

At webmail.yourdomain.com, using your full email address and its password. It is white-labelled, so it carries your domain rather than ours.

Can I read mail on my phone?

Yes, on iOS and Android, either through the built-in mail app over IMAP or through the browser. Calendars and contacts sync alongside it.

How much space does each mailbox get?

5 GB dedicated to mail. If an account fills up, storage is added in blocks without moving the mailbox or changing the address.

Which SMTP port should I use?

587. Port 25 also works, but a lot of home and mobile networks block it to cut down on spam, so 587 is the one that works everywhere.

Can I create mailing lists?

Yes - add and remove members, appoint a moderator, restrict who can join and ban an address from a list. The knowledgebase covers the setup.

What is your policy on spam?

Zero tolerance for unsolicited bulk mail. Purchased lists and so-called safe lists count as spam here, and an account sending it will be terminated with or without notice. This protects the deliverability of everybody else on the platform, including you.

Can I set up an auto-responder?

Yes. Set a reply once and it goes out automatically to anything arriving at that address - the usual use is holidays and staff handovers.

Can I move mail I already have somewhere else?

Usually yes. Most mailboxes can be copied across over IMAP with the folder structure intact. Tell us where it is now and we will tell you what is involved.

Ready to move off a free inbox?

Tell us your domain and how many people need an address, and we will quote it and set it up.
