Both numbers, side by side, for every extension we sell. On some of them the difference is considerable, and you should see that before you buy rather than a year afterwards.

Prices in USD, per year, excluding tax. An "x" marker means the renewal price is several times the first year - a registry promotion, shown here so it is not a surprise later. Last updated 2026-09-13.
On a lot of newer extensions the opening rate is a registry promotion. We would rather tell you now than have you find out on the renewal invoice.
If you intend to keep the name for years, the renewal price is the one that decides what it actually costs you. The first year is paid once.
Where a promotional rate applies to multiple years, taking more than one at registration locks it in. Ask us before you order and we will tell you whether it does.
.com, .net and .uk register and renew at the same price. If you want a name you never have to think about again, that is the reason people still choose them.
Buying several, or after an extension that is not listed? Ask and we will price it properly rather than guess.
On many newer extensions the first year is a promotional rate set by the registry to encourage people to try it, and the renewal is the real price. It is standard across the industry and not specific to us - but it is why this table shows both, rather than only the number that looks best.
The very cheap ones, generally. .site and .fun register for $1.29 and renew for over $45. If you are choosing between extensions and intend to keep the domain for years, compare the renewal column rather than the first-year column.
Some registries do not charge for a transfer. Where they do, the fee usually includes a year added to your existing expiry date, so you are not paying twice for the same time.
Yes. Prices display in your local currency where we can detect it, but they are set in USD and converted at checkout, so the figure you pay can move slightly with the exchange rate.
Where the registry supports it, privacy is included rather than sold separately. A few extensions - and most country-code domains - do not allow it at all, which is a registry rule and not our choice.
Ask us. We carry 800+ extensions and can often add one that is not on the list. If we genuinely cannot get it, we will say so rather than sell you something close.
The first-year price is what you pay at checkout. Renewal prices are set by the registry and can change year to year - we pass on what they charge rather than marking it up when it moves.
Knowing what it costs is only useful if it is still available. Check one, or a whole shortlist at once.
