Managed SEO

Search work done by people, not a plugin

Keyword research, the on-page fixes, the off-page work and a Google Business Profile that is actually filled in - run as an ongoing engagement rather than a one-off audit you never action.

Managed service

Priced by how many keywords

The work is the same at every level. What changes is how many search terms we chase, which is what actually drives the hours.

Every tier includes the same work. Prices are a starting point - we scope the site before quoting, because an established site and a brand new one are not the same job.

What we actually do

In roughly this order

No secret method. The order matters more than the tactics, and most sites lose ground by doing the last step first.

01

Keyword research first

Which terms are worth chasing, which are already lost to someone with a decade of authority, and which ones your customers actually type. The tier you pick is simply how many we work on.

02

On-page, then off-page

Titles, structure, internal links and page speed before anything else - there is no point building links to a page that does not deserve them yet.

03

Google Business Profile

Filled in properly, categorised correctly and kept current. For a local business this is often worth more than everything else combined.

04

Reported quarterly

What moved, what did not, and what we are doing next. SEO on a monthly report is mostly noise; a quarter is long enough to mean something.

Rather do it yourself

An SEO tool you can buy today

Marketgoo scans the site, tells you what is wrong and gives you a plan to work through. If you have the time, it will get you most of the way for a fraction of the cost.

Marketgoo Lite

An instant SEO report with a plan for the issues it finds.

A tool tells you what to fix. It does not do the fixing - that is the difference between this and the managed service above.

Questions

Before you commit to SEO

SEO attracts more nonsense than any other part of this industry. Ask us anything and we will answer it straight, including when the answer is that you do not need us.

How long before I see results?

Months, not weeks, and anyone who promises otherwise is selling you something. Technical fixes can show within weeks; competitive rankings take a quarter or more. That is why this is a monthly engagement rather than a one-off project.

Can you guarantee a number one ranking?

No, and nobody honestly can - Google does not sell placement and does not publish its ranking function. What we can commit to is the work: the research, the fixes, the profile, the reporting, and telling you plainly when a keyword is not worth chasing.

What does a keyword tier actually mean?

It is how many search terms we actively work on and report against. Five is right for a local business with a clear service. Twenty-five suits a larger site with several products or locations.

Do I need managed SEO, or would the tool do?

If you have a small site, some time, and want to fix the obvious things yourself, the self-serve tool below is a far better use of your money. Managed SEO makes sense when nobody in the business has the hours for it.

Do I have to host with you?

No. We will work on a site hosted anywhere, though we will need access to make on-page changes.

What happens if I stop?

The work already done stays done - the fixes are on your site and they do not expire. What stops is the ongoing research, new content work and monitoring.

Tell us what you are trying to rank for

We will look at the site, tell you what is realistic, and quote the work. If the tool is the better answer for you, we will say so.
